Special events and dates this month

 

  • On Sunday, 3rd August at 2.30pm there will be a Harp Recital with Pimms and a Strawberry Tea in the gardens of Newtimber Place. Proceeds to the Church. Tickets £12 for adults, £5 for children from Shirley Murrell or Lucy Dalrymple tel 01273 832009. Please buy tickets in good time to help us to assess demand and numbers.

 

  • Friday 15th August is the festival of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Edwards in Burgess Hill will be having a Sung Mass at 7.30pm followed by refreshments, to which everyone is welcome.

 

  • 16th – 17th August (10am -5pm) – flower festival at St Martin’s Church, Westmeston (in the Beacon Parish). Theme is wedding anniversaries. Refreshments available.

 

  • Advance notice of a course to be run in the autumn on the topic of responding to people of other faiths. Caroline will be leading this 12 week course in the Deanery – probably at Hassocks, on Tuesday evenings. Look out for details. This will not be instead of our own study groups.
