Each Chairman chooses charities to fundraise for during their terms of office, Councillor Trumble’s chosen charities are the Children’s Unit at The Royal Marsden Hospital and Woodlands Meed School.
“The Royal Marsden is an organisation very close to my heart,
as they supported my family over a number of years whilst my granddaughter received treatment for cancer from the age of 18 months,” said Councillor Trumble.
“Thankfully she is now a bubbly 10-year old, a testament to the care and specialist treatment provided by the doctors and staff at the hospital. However, I am acutely aware that not every child has such a happy story to tell, and I am determined to help promote and support an organisation that tirelessly works to support people through their darkest time.
“I’d like to thank our sponsors Collinsons, Swan Press and Paul Masson Funerals for supporting the March in Mid Sussex. I hope many people will join us for this special event.”
