The Poynings Parish Plan was based on the results of a questionnaire that went out to every home in Poynings and was democratically devised by a mixed group of villagers chaired by a Parish Council member.
One result of this was the Poynings Village Sign which the majority of villagers had said they wanted in the questionnaire. This was subsequently requested to the Parish Council via a plan committee member. Part of the funding was facilitated by the plan result.
The Poynings Parish Plan is still used by Mid Sussex District Council.
