Pondtail Wood – Weekly update – Friday 1st July 2016

Below is a summary of the activity relating to the site from the involved agencies:

SDNPA

• On Thursday, 23 June the NPA Chair updated the NPA meeting on the joint agency meeting the previous week and the current position regarding investigation and enforcement, plus joint working.
  
• The NPA meeting was addressed by Dr Roger SMITH of CPRE and he read the letter previously posted on the Friends of the Earth Facebook page on behalf of a number of organisations.

• On Thursday June 23 the SDNPA issued a press release (agreed with other agencies), which was covered in West Sussex County Times on 27 June and the Argus on 29 June.

Key dates

• Stop Notice was served on the 13^th June 2016 and took effect immediately.
  
• The Enforcement Notice was served on the 13
  June and will take effect on 12^th July 2016.
  
• Remedial work specified in the Enforcement Notice must be completed by 23^rd August 2016
  

  (42 days from when the notice takes effect).
