There is a united Benefice service every Sunday morning at 10 am in one of our churches.

 

On most Sundays, this is a service of Holy Communion.

On the first Sunday of each month, it is an all age worship service, followed at 11.15 am by a short Communion service.

Location varies according to the pattern below:

    First Sunday      (3rd July)             Poynings

    Second Sunday    (10th July)            Newtimber    

    Third Sunday     (17th July)            Poynings    

    Fourth Sunday    (24th July)            Pyecombe

    Fifth Sunday    (31st July)            Newtimber

 

There is also a Benefice Evening Service at 6pm every second Sunday (10th July) at Pyecombe.

This month, there will be an additional evening service at Pyecombe on 3rd July to mark the end of their Village Weekend and Flower Festival

 

In addition, at Edburton Church there is:


A service of Family Communion every first and third Sunday at 11 am. (3rd and 17th July)

 

Morning and Evening Prayer each week

Mondays: Edburton at 6 pm; Tuesdays: Newtimber at 5 pm

Wednesdays: Poynings at 9 am; Pyecombe at 6 pm

 

Evergreens (for the over 60’s)

Monday, 4th July, 3.30 – 5 pm at Rushfields

Special events and dates this month

 

  • PYECOMBE’S VILLAGE WEEKEND and Flower Festival is 2nd -3rd July: theme for the flowers this year is ‘Books’; refreshments and other stalls all weekend. Do come and support this fabulous event.
  • Study Groups exploring The Lord’s Prayer continue on Wednesdays: afternoon or evening: 6th and 13th July.
  • The Book Nook in Fulking opens every second Sunday, 11am – 4pm. This month on 10th July.
  • Joint PCC meeting on 11th July at 7pm at The Rectory. A social meeting: bring partners and a plate of food.
  • Deanery Synod meets at 8pm on Tuesday 12th July: this time we are hosts, at Poynings Church.
  • Messy Church meets this month on Friday 15th July, from 4.30 pm – 6 pm at Fulking Village Hall. Do come along!
  • Newtimber PCC 5.30pm on Tuesday 19th July in Church.
  • Pyecombe PCC 7.30pm Monday 25th July in Church.
  • The new Benefice Council will meet on Tues 26 July, 7.30pm.
  • Fulking Fair is on Saturday 30th July from 1-5pm in the North Town Field.
