The hole in the footpath over the stream by the garage has at last been inspected properly and Highways were out again yesterday. They will be putting plates and barriers over the hole in the next 24 hours.
As it is classed as a “structure” it requires a drainage engineers’ drawings etc., the recommendation will be for 2 x 18” pipes to be installed under the footpath and backfilled which should be more secure than the existing timber planks.
The PC have also asked them to remove silt from the garage side of the culvert while they are there, it is building up and causing flooding during heavy rain, as the entrance to the culvert is 50% blocked.
