Poynings Ping Pong

Dear Villagers,

As some of you already know, we have managed to secure a Community Initiative Fund grant for a concrete outdoor table tennis table at the Poynings Recreation Ground for £2,844.

This is a great way for our local youngsters to meet in a safe place, keep fit and enjoy themselves.

Although primarily for the use of ten to sixteen year olds in the four downland villages, all of us can use it. So get that bat out of the loft!

However, we still need to raise £3,000 for a suitable base. It has to comply with MSDC insurance requirements. This is where all of you can help. If you can spare anything at all, head over now to www.poynings.net/pingpong and donate (portal active for one month). It only needs 150 people to donate just £20. This will leave a legacy for generations to come.

If you have any fund raising ideas or offers of help please contact me sheila@oakpoynings.freeserve.co.uk
